Leposavic: Petition for Hetemi's removal submitted; the meeting of four Albanian mayors in the north underway

The petition for the removal of Mayor Lulzim Hetemi in Leposavic was submitted today. The initiators handed over the collected signatures just after 1:00 PM to Assembly President Gorski Buric in the municipality building.

Citizens' signatures for the mayor's removal began on January 17 and concluded on January 20, gathering more than 20% of the residents in Leposavic who are eligible to vote, meeting the required threshold.

A meeting of four mayors from the municipalities in the north of Kosovo is currently taking place at the Leposavic Municipal Building, as reported by Kosovo Online.

According to an on-site reporter covering this unannounced meeting, all Albanian mayors from the four municipalities in the north are present.
