Maric: Maybe the Z-4 plan would be a fraud - as there is no CSM today, even though the EU is the guarantor of the Brussels Agreement

A member of the Serbian Parliament, Ljuborim Maric, said today that as a member of the team for the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, until 2013, he believed that the Serbs in Krajina might have made a mistake in not accepting the Z-4 plan in order to stay and survive in Croatia, but that it seemed to him today that it might have been a fraud, when you took into account what was happening with the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

"You have the Brussels Agreement, you have the CSM, whose guarantor is the EU, and we don't have that even today," Maric said in a guest appearance on Informer television.

"Today we have such a situation in Kosovo and Metohija, although I do not draw a parallel because it is incomparable because Kosovo and Metohija is a southern Serbian province, a part of Serbia, an internationally recognized state," he added.

Maric pointed out that the international factor, as it had played then, still played a role today in breaking free, independent, and united Serbia, and President Aleksandar Vucic as a statesman who led such a policy and had the support of a huge number of citizens.

"They still do the same today, they apply double standards. There is no Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, we have the Serb List and representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo who left the institutions because they suffer terror and torture... Milun Milenkovic, who was beaten in prison, is barely alive. They are criminalizing every individual Serb, who is fighting for freedom," Maric said.

It still bothered them today, as it had bothered in Krajina in the 1990s, that the Serbs only wanted freedom, he added.

"Just as today we have secret lists of the Serbs in Kosovo who are alleged criminals, there are also lists in Croatia, some of which are known, and many of which are unknown," Maric said.
