Milenkovic: Increase in PDK votes due to recognition as potentially the best partner for the new US administration

Marko Milenkovic from the NGO "New Social Initiative" stated for Kosovo Online that the increase in votes for the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in the recent parliamentary elections is noticeable and can be interpreted as a shift of a certain number of votes from the Self-Determination Movement to PDK, primarily from voters who lean toward European values and integration, as well as those who consider the broader picture of international relations.

"Relations with the international community have been the main point of criticism against Kurti, and it seems that PDK has positioned itself as the frontrunner in this regard, being seen as the likely best partner for the new US administration. I believe that the meetings PDK's leader had with the new US administration in recent times contributed to voters choosing them, resulting in this growth in their voter base," Milenkovic assessed.

PDK, he said, is the opposition party with the largest number of voters and will have the opportunity to form a government and lead a new administration with other opposition parties, including the Serb List, but that remains to be seen.
