Former diplomat Zoran Milivojevic stated for RTS that we are on the verge of a complete escalation and that it is questionable how long the patience of the Serbian people will last.

"Albin Kurti has no intention of changing his policies and measures taken in northern Kosovo and Metohija. His plan does not include anything that would lead to de-escalation, nor what the Quint expects from him, let alone what the Serbs expect, which could lead to calming the situation," Milivojevic says.

According to him, there is no adequate response from Washington, Pristina, KFOR, or UNMIK.

"It is high time for KFOR to fulfill its mandate and prevent a situation that leads to escalation," Milivojevic points out.

He also emphasizes that KFOR's actions depend on NATO, as well as Washington and the majority in Brussels, stating that the measures taken by the West towards Kurti, which could lead to a change in the political stance in Pristina, are not sufficient.

"Kurti has made it clear that he will not give up on his policies, and he has tied his political fate to them. It is time for the West to take concrete measures to prevent the behavior of the interim authorities in Pristina," Milivojevic believes.
