The Director of the Post of Serbia in Kosovo, Ivan Milojevic, said today, after officials of the Central Inspectorate for Supervision and Kosovo Post took over the premises of the Post of Serbia in Gracanica, that they will fight by all legal means to prove that the property belongs to Serbia.

Milojevic pointed out that today they responded to the request of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Entrepreneurship of Kosovo and Kosovo Post.

“It so happened that on July 15 or 17 they changed the ownership in the Kosovo cadastre, where we were registered — the Post of Serbia, as Post Gracanica. In an unlawful manner, they did not even allow us today to make a note in the record, to state the truth for which we have proof, that we ourselves built this post office from 2004 onwards,” he said.

He stressed that the Kosovo authorities created legal cover for the process they concluded today.

“They began with a temporary closure. They just needed time, which they used to prepare the papers,” Milojevic stated.

He noted that the closure of post offices is not limited to Gracanica, but also happened in Strpce, Leposavic…

“We Serbs from Kosovo were driven out of the towns, the post worked for 25 years in villages, in private houses, and now they are taking away the little we built. The buildings of the former joint post offices remained in the towns, for them. And that is not enough. Now they have to come here, before the elections, to probably announce a competition, to divide, confuse, and intimidate the Serbian people even more. But my message is that we will fight by all legal means to prove this in court, though you know how it is when the judge is both the prosecutor and the jury,” Milojevic said.
