The Ministry of Defense of Serbia has responded to the new accusations made today by Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the events in Banjska, stating that they absolutely reject the heinous and baseless lies presented by Kurti, and they have also called on the international community to react promptly in order to stop what they described as an incendiary and malicious media campaign directed by the Pristina leadership toward the Republic of Serbia and its officials.

Kurti, among other things, stated today that the "attack in Banjska was organized by a clan from Novi Sad, which is led by Serbia's Minister of Defense, Milos Vucevic."

"We emphasize that for the sake of preserving peace and stability in Kosovo and Metohija, it is crucial to compel the provisional institutions in Pristina to immediately cease the daily terror against the Serbian population, implement all previous agreements, and establish the Community of Serb Municipalities. The brazen lies, insults, and slander that Kurti spreads daily as part of the malicious media campaign against the state of Serbia and its leadership completely reveal his intentions to destroy any chance of reducing tensions in our southern province," the Ministry of Defense of Serbia said in their statement.

They emphasize that the Ministry and the Serbian Armed Forces will remain committed to their constitutional and legal roles in preserving the security and peaceful lives of all Serbian citizens.

"We are confident that today's, as well as a series of previous slanderous statements by representatives of the provisional Pristina institutions, unequivocally demonstrate whose interests lie in provoking chaos and violence, and in whose interests lie the preservation of peace, the continuation of dialogue, and the achievement of a political solution to the crisis in Kosovo and Metohija," the statement concludes.
