Musliu Shoshi: Kurti's government conditions the EU, and is not aware of its own weakness

The Deputy President of the PDK, Ariana Musliu Shoshi, said that regarding the condition of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his deputy Besnik Bislimi that the EU first lifted sanctions on Kosovo and only then the new elections in the north would be held, "the Kosovo government does not know that it is in trouble and that it is not aware of its own weaknesses".

"At a joint meeting with the head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Tomas Szunyog, I expressed the concerns we have on the way to integration into the European family. EU measures remain our concern and the risk of escalation of these measures in the event that the Government of Kosovo fails to de-escalate the situation in the north," Musliu Shoshi wrote on Facebook.

She stated that at the meeting with the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, she also had expressed her concern about the statements of the leaders of the Kosovo Government that had set the conditions for the EU.

"Another concern is the conditions of the Kosovo government to the European Union, where in other words, this government does not know its situation. It is not aware of its weakness. It is not grateful to the EU itself and the member countries for all the help that has been provided to us over the years," she pointed out.

She pointed out that Kurti's government does not know what democracy is and how it works.

"Through its actions and continuous attacks on the opposition, the media, and civil society, this government shows that it has no intention of being democratic, but wants to replace democracy with something else. Accordingly, this time it is taking us even further away from the European family! Therefore, before it is late, the government must look back on its international obligations and EU demands, or, for the sake of our future, the decision should be returned to the voters, who, according to the latest research, are largely dissatisfied with the country's political direction," Musliu Shoshi wrote.
