The Office for Kosovo and Metohija condemned the attack on the young Serb: The motive was hatred and ethnic intolerance
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija strongly condemned the attack on the young Serb S.P. (20) from Gracanica, which happened last night on the road between Dobrotin and Donja Gusterica, and called on the authorities to find the perpetrators of that crime and adequately sanction them, and international representatives to condemn that crime of hatred and ethnic intolerance.
As stated in the announcement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the testimony of S.P. that three Albanians had attacked him and hit him several times when he had been parking a car with Serbian license plates, "KG", indicated that the motive for the attack was ethnic intolerance and that S.P. had become a target became precisely because he was a Serb.
"Our representatives on the ground are in contact with the attacked young man, and this attack has instilled additional concern and unrest in the Serbian community in central Kosovo and Metohija, which is exposed to numerous provocations almost every day," the statement said.
It is added that this is another testimony that the anti-Serb, incendiary rhetoric from Pristina leads to frequent attacks on the Serbs in Kosovo and incites inter-ethnic hatred and intolerance, in contrast to Belgrade's efforts to build peaceful coexistence in those areas.
