A Serb from Gracanica was attacked by three Albanians
A Serb S.P. (20) from Gracanica was beaten on Sunday around 7 p.m., on the road between Dobrotin and Donja Gusterica, by three men of Albanian nationality. The Commander of the police station in Gracanica, Bratislav Trajkovic, confirmed for Kosovo Online that the case had been reported and that it was being investigated.
The young man S.P. was attacked by three Albanians who were driving a black BMW car on the Donja Gusterica - Dobrotin road. As he tells Kosovo Online, he was with his girlfriend in the car when the BMW overtook him.
"He overtook me and stopped in front of me. I stood behind him, I thought that he needed help or to show him the way. I opened the window and that Albanian came towards me, he was shouting. I asked him 'Neighbor what is happening, what is the problem?', and he punched me in the head with all his might and I lost consciousness," S.P. says.
When he regained consciousness, he saw that there were two other men standing at his window and trying to hit him.
"After that, two girls, who were with them, pulled them and put them back in the car, to continue on their way," S.P. says.
He states that the car had license plates beginning with 01 which, he says, means that it belongs to the Pristina region.
According to his estimation, the driver of the car was around 40 years old, and the other two men were around 25.
He adds that one of the locals saw what happened and reported the case to the police.
"Then I went to the police to give a statement, they interrogated me for about two hours. After that, I went to the Health Center to be examined, and they referred me to surgery. They found injuries in the area of my head, one bone in the back burst," S.P. said, who spent the night in the hospital, before being transferred to Clinical Hospital Center Kosovska Mitrovica for a detailed examination this morning.
He admits that he did not expect something like that to happen to him, because he used to move freely everywhere.
"I went to Pristina, Lipljan, shopped, walked with a girl... I never had a problem with anyone. I never went wild, or turned up the music; this is the first time this has happened to me," he says, stating that he has a car with KG plates.
He suspects that the Albanians saw the license plates and that this was the reason for the attack.
The Commander of the police station in Gracanica, Bratislav Trajkovic, briefly confirmed for Kosovo Online that there had been a report and that the case was being worked on.
