One-month detention for the two Serbs arrested in Banjska
The Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina has ordered a one-month detention for the two Serbs arrested in Banjska, Blagoje Spasojevic and Dusan Maksimovic," lawyer Dejan A. Vasic confirmed for Kosovo Online.
Dusan Maksimovic had been charged with the criminal offense of preparing terrorism, his defense attorney Dejan A. Vasic stated.
"We will wait with full confidence for the forensic findings related to my client's phone when we expect that the truth will come out that he had absolutely nothing to do with the event itself, which will undoubtedly establish that he is not guilty of the crime for which the Special Prosecutor's Office suspects him," Vasic said.
Blagoje Spasojevic is charged with committing the criminal offense of terrorism.
The lawyers for Blagoje Spasojevic and Dusan Maksimovic, Ljubomir Pantovic, and Dejan A. Vasic, will file an appeal against the Court's decision tomorrow.
Spasojevic's defense attorney, Pantovic, told Kosovo Online that they had not received any documents or evidence at this stage because the investigation was in its early stages.
"Detention has been ordered for them for up to 30 days. Spasojevic is charged with two serious criminal offenses, 'attacking the constitutional order and security of Kosovo' and 'committing a terrorist act.' I would say that Maksimovic is in a more favorable position. It is currently impossible to speak about the details of this case because no documents or evidence have been provided to the defense yet, as it is the beginning of the investigation, and it is difficult to comment on whether there is evidence or not," Pantovic said.
He added that Spasojevic and Maksimovic had been transferred to a high-security detention facility near Podujevo.
