President of the Assembly of Serbia, Vladimir Orlic, pointed out today that the protests in Pristina due to the European agreement on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia were proof of the importance of establishing the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Danas reports.

Summarizing yesterday's protest in Pristina and the smoke bombs thrown during the event, he said that the CSM could cause major problems for Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.

"Based on those events yesterday, but not only them, we can better understand the importance of the CSM and what kind of upheavals such an issue can cause on the political level in Pristina and to Albin Kurti," Orlic told Happy television.

According to him, Kurti "resisted in all possible and impossible ways" in order to avoid that obligation, while the protests in Pristina showed what the local political scene thinks about the CSM, which is the main indicator of the importance of that Community of Serb-majority Municipalities in the north of Kosovo.

"And then someone here tells you that the CSM is not in the good interest of the Serbs; that it is not something that important. There they want to set Kurti on fire (because of the CSM), and they tell him that they are going to throw Molotov cocktails at him. And that is the best answer, whether the CSM is significant or not," Orlic assessed.
