The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is not involved in the preparation and implementation of the scheduled extraordinary elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, as the mission stated for Kosovo Online.
When asked if the OSCE will have observers at the April 23 elections, the mission replied that since 2021, the Central Election Commission (CEC) had been conducting elections without any direct assistance from the OSCE.
"However, the OSCE Mission carefully monitors the overall situation, including its early warning mandate. The Mission has a longstanding and excellent partnership with the CEC, including extensive technical cooperation, and continues to support relevant authorities in the ongoing electoral reform process," the response from OSCE in Pristina states.
