Pantic is being charged with command responsibility for events in the municipality of Istok during 1999

Serb Momir Pantic, who was arrested last night at the Merdare administrative crossing, is being charged with command responsibility for certain events that occurred during the Kosovo war in 1999, in the municipality of Istok, according to attorney Nebojsa Vlajic, who was present in Pristina today during the statement of the detainee.

"I just visited M.P., who has been living in Serbia since the Kosovo war, but has come to Kosovo over 40 times during these 24 years. This shows that he has no sense of guilt, nor did he have anything to fear, however, our inner conviction is not enough of a guarantee that we will not be arrested," Vlajic said.

As Vlajic added, his client is being charged with command responsibility for certain events that occurred during the 1999 Kosovo war in the municipality of Istok.

"I was present at the police station, where he is in custody, during the statement given to the special public prosecutor of Kosovo. That has concluded for today, and the public prosecutor will propose the measure of detention," Vlajic said.

The detention hearing will be held tomorrow at the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina. Pantic has been remanded for 48 hours, as decided by the prosecutor.
