The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations in Geneva has responded to today’s raid by Kosovo Police on the premises of the Red Cross of Kosovo and Metohija in Gazivode with a note addressed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), requesting an appropriate reaction from this international organization in order to initiate concrete steps in response to what they referred to as an “ongoing illegal operation” by the authorities in Pristina, diplomatic sources have told Kosovo Online.

The Permanent Mission of Serbia to the UN in Geneva demands an adequate response from the ICRC, condemning this action by the authorities in Pristina, as the search was carried out in the absence of Red Cross personnel, who were not even allowed to enter the premises, according to the Mission’s note reviewed by our editorial staff.

Furthermore, according to available information, the Serbian Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Milan Milanović, has spoken with responsible officials at the ICRC and requested an urgent response by the international organization to today’s raid on the premises of the Red Cross of Kosovo and Metohija, which is part of the International Red Cross network.
