Petkovic: By appointing Rasic, Kurti violated the rights of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, by appointing Nenad Rasic as the Minister for Communities and Returns, had brutally violated the constitution and had once again violated the rights of the Serbs in Kosovo.
Petkovic pointed out that the president of the Progressive Democratic Party, Nenad Rasic, and the president of the European Movement of Serbs from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic, did not represent Serbs in Kosovo.
"Kurti's puppets Nenad Rasic and Rada Trajkovic do not represent the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, the Serbs did not vote for him in the last elections but they represent Albin Kurti and his militant policy towards everything related to Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija. This is also shown by the results of the last elections in Kosovo and Metohija in which the list created by Rasic won 0.173 percent of the votes, in contrast to the Serb List, which almost 96 percent of the Serbs voted for," Petkovic announced.
Petkovic emphasized that according to the Kosovo constitution, Kurti had to have the support of the majority of representatives of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities for such an act.
"Even the internal so-called highest legal act of Pristina in Article 96, paragraph 5 stipulates that the election of the Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government must have the support of the majority of MPs of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, in this case, the Serb List; Kurti would never have received such support from the MPs of the Serb List for the election of his puppet to the ministerial position," he emphasized.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that the election of Rasic was the biggest proof of what was being alerted all the time, namely that "in Kosovo, there are Kurti’s Serbs who are ready to do anything for the sake of personal interest and dealings with Pristina".
"That's why the Serb List, as a bulwark of the survival of the Serbs in these areas, is the only one that has the support from Belgrade and its country and will never serve the authorities in Pristina and Albin Kurti, but only to its people," Petkovic concluded.
