Petkovic: Kurti tried to push through Rasic
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that Kurti today tried to push through Rasic as Vice President of the Kosovo Assembly, in the seat that belongs to Slavko Simic, who was nominated by the Serb List.
“Legal violence in the Pristina parliament of unprecedented proportions! Kurti tried to push through Rasic as Vice President of the so-called Assembly, in the seat that belongs to Slavko Simic, nominated by the Serb List. For that deception, they even introduced selection by drawing lots, though without success. Rasic is a representative of Kurti, not of the Serbs,” Petkovic wrote on the social network X.
Of the two vice-presidential positions that belong to non-majority communities, one was filled by Emilija Redžepi as the representative of the Bosniak people. After Slavko Simic, on behalf of the Serb List, failed three times to secure the necessary majority for the second vice-presidential position, a drawing of lots was held, which also failed, leading to the suspension of the session.
