Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, held discussions today at the Palace of Serbia with representatives of all state, financial, and other institutions that have employees in Kosovo regarding the decision of the Central Bank to prohibit the use of the dinar, and about ways in which Serbia can facilitate overcoming the consequences of this crisis.
Petkovic announced on Facebook that during the meeting, the consequences for the functioning of Serbian institutions and the life of the Serbs in Kosovo, caused by what he referred to as the "unlawful decision of Pristina to ban the Serbian currency in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija," had been thoroughly presented and discussed.
"Today, Petkovic, along with his deputy Dusica Nikolic, held a meeting at the Palace of Serbia with representatives of all relevant state, financial, and other institutions that have employees in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, discussing the increasingly pronounced consequences of the crisis caused by the decision of institutions in Pristina, led by Albin Kurti, to ban the use of the dinar and dinar payment transactions in Kosovo and Metohija," it was announced on Facebook.
The meeting addressed ways in which the Republic of Serbia can ease the consequences of this crisis in the upcoming period.
