We remember and will never forget the 78 days of NATO aggression when international law was brazenly violated to justify violence against the Serbian people and the unlawful attempt to secede Kosovo and Metohija. They bombed our bridges, hospitals, roads, media houses, and homes in an attempt to break our country and bring it to its knees, stated the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, on the 26th anniversary of the bombing of the FRY.

As he pointed out, "NATO's criminal bombs did not spare anyone, regardless of age or gender."

"During this aggression, 81 Serbian children lost their lives. They sought to extinguish our youth and our future, to take away our Kosovo and Metohija, but many miscalculated, then and now. Serbia and the Serbian people have risen again, building in the last 13 years, together with Aleksandar Vucic, a stable, economically strong, and politically neutral Serbia. A Serbia that remembers and honors its suffering and its victims, so that such tragedies never happen again," Petkovic wrote on Instagram.

"Today, as our country faces attacks from abroad, though by different means, it is our duty to protect Serbia, our unity, and our peace. We owe this to our ancestors, to those who gave their lives for our country, and to our future generations, to our children, for whom we are building a stable and prosperous future," Petkovic concluded.
