Petkovic: Restoring Serbian municipalities in the north and strengthening those in the south are crucial for the survival of the Serbs

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated this evening that the return of municipalities in northern Kosovo to the Serbian people, as well as the further strengthening of Serbian municipalities south of the Ibar River, is of great importance for the future, well-being, and survival of the Serbian people.

Petkovic announced on Instagram that he held a meeting today in Raska with representatives of the Serb List and congratulated the newly appointed mayors on assuming their duties.

“The return of Serbian municipalities in the north of Kosovo and Metohija to the people, as well as the continued strengthening of Serbian municipalities south of the Ibar, is of great importance for the future, prosperity, and survival of the Serbian people. Serbia, led by President Vucic, is always there to support its people and ensure the preservation of peace and stability. Better times are coming in Kosovo and Metohija,” Petkovic wrote.

In the four Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo, the newly elected mayors assumed office today – Milan Radojevic in North Mitrovica, Dragisa Milovic in Zvecan, Zoran Todic in Leposavic, and Milos Perovic in Zubin Potok.

New mayors also took office today in the municipalities of Gracanica, Strpce, Novo Brdo, Partes, and Ranilug, while the constitutive session in Klokot—where the Serb List also won—will be scheduled at a later date, given that a second round of local elections was held in that municipality.
