The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, emphasized that the children who were shot at last night from a moving vehicle in the courtyard of the elementary school in Ugljare miraculously remained unharmed.

Petkovic stated on the Pink TV channel that at the time of the shooting, there were three children aged 13, 15, and 17 in the schoolyard and that the car from which the shots were fired was heading towards Preoce.

"This is already the 331st attack on Serbian communities, on our people living in Kosovo and Metohija. It speaks volumes about the situation in which Serbs and all non-Albanians, who stand with the state of Serbia, find themselves today. That is why the dialogue is important to us; we constantly insist on it to preserve people's lives. Only a spark is needed in Kosovo and Metohija for things to take a negative turn," Petkovic said.

As he stated, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wants to provoke a reaction from the Serbs in Kosovo and create a new crisis through daily incidents in order to avoid the formation of the CSM.

"Albin Kurti knows this and uses it by provoking new incidents every day, wanting to elicit an immoderate reaction from the people in Kosovo and Metohija. Because he knows that no matter what crises erupt, especially in northern Kosovo and Metohija, the West will always blame Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic. It is absolutely true that Vucic is under double pressure: on one side from the international community and on the other side from our people living in Kosovo and Metohija, who expect a stronger reaction from the state of Serbia. We are doing everything we can to preserve peace precisely because of our people in Kosovo and Metohija. Kurti wants to provoke a reaction, incite our people, and push Serbia into a conflict with the international community. That is his idea, because the crisis is the only way for him to avoid the obligation of forming the CSM," Petkovic said.
