Following the statement by Riho Terras, the European Parliament’s rapporteur for Kosovo, who condemned what he described as “pre-election manipulation and interference in Kosovo’s internal affairs by the President of Serbia,” the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, asked why Terras is untroubled when Albin Kurti seeks to suppress the Serb List, yet finds it problematic that Aleksandar Vucic is caring for the Serbian people and creating new jobs.

“Finally, the Pristina lobbyist Riho Terras has spoken out. We had almost forgotten he existed, since he has never reacted to Kurti’s terror. But when it comes to Serbs, he attacks them using the same rhetoric as Kurti,” Petkovic wrote on the social network X.

He questioned why Terras is not disturbed when Kurti tries to dissolve the Serb List, ban campaign advertisements, and block Serbian media from reporting on election day, yet takes issue with the fact that President Aleksandar Vucic cares for the Serbian people and works to provide new employment opportunities.

“Where were you, Riho, when Kurti was shutting down Serbian institutions, arresting Serbs, holding fake elections, banning the Cyrillic script and the dinar? You were nowhere to be found, because you are a false envoy—just as false as your supposed concern for everyone in Kosovo and Metohija,” Petkovic emphasized.

Terras had posted a statement on the social network X last night, claiming that “Serbian actions are directly aimed at escalating the already sensitive situation in Kosovo and are clearly hostile in nature.”
