Petkovic: Why didn't Kosovo Police allow EULEX to participate in the investigative operation in Banjska?

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, publicly questioned why it was necessary for the Kosovo Police to conduct the investigation on their own, without the presence of EULEX investigators, and what it was that needed to be concealed in the investigation.

"Why didn’t Kosovo Police allow EULEX to take part in the investigative operation in Banjska? Why was it necessary that Kosovo Police carry out an investigation on its own, without the presence of the EULEX investigators? What needed to be hidden in the investigation?" Petkovic asked.

Meanwhile, the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, stated that the presence of special police had been increased in the north following the events in Banjska.

Hoxha did not provide details about how much the capacity of the special unit has been strengthened, but he stated that the Kosovo Police were in constant coordination with KFOR and EULEX.
