Power: Establishing the CSM will contribute to the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations and economic development

The Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, says that the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities will contribute to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as reported by Reporteri.

After today's meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Power emphasized that the United States fully supports the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and that the establishment of the CSM will aid in this process.

"We discussed progress in the normalization of relations with Serbia, and everyone is aware of the complexity of this dialogue. I have heard on multiple occasions that the citizens of Kosovo believe that this is the right path for their country to take. In my meetings with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani, I expressed strong support from the United States and encouraged Kosovo and Serbia to intensify their efforts and accelerate the path to normalization. The establishment of the CSM will help in the normalization of relations as well as economic development," Power said.
