Representatives of the Serb List meet with Wikoff: Extremely difficult position of Serbs in Kosovo

A delegation of the Serb List, led by party president Zlatan Elek, met today with Admiral George Wikoff, Commander of NATO’s Joint Force Command in Europe, to whom they drew attention to the extremely difficult position of the Serbian people in Kosovo, citing daily pressures, violations of fundamental human rights, and the lack of adequate protection for the Serbian population.

At the meeting held at the KFOR headquarters in Pristina, representatives of the Serb List emphasized that Serbs in Kosovo are facing numerous security, political, and institutional challenges, the party said in a statement.

Particular concern was expressed over daily pressures, the endangerment of fundamental human rights, and the absence of adequate protection for the Serbian population.

The Serb List delegation further underscored that preserving peace and stability is of crucial importance, as is the need for international security forces to continue acting in accordance with their mandate, ensuring full and impartial protection of all citizens, and especially of the Serbian people.

The party’s representatives reiterated that the Serb List remains committed to dialogue and cooperation with international representatives, with the aim of securing lasting peace, security, and the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo.
