A Serb from Leposavic has been released
Marijan Miletic from Leposavic, who was detained by members of the Kosovo Special Police Unit yesterday, has been released, his wife, Milica Miletic, confirmed to Kosovo Online.
Miletic said that he was on his way to Leposavic and that the Kosovo Police had left him in North Mitrovica.
"When I saw a call from his number, I thought he was unwell, that it was the worst of all, but when I heard his voice, I felt relieved," Miletic said.
She adds that the most important thing is that her husband was released from custody, as he has a heart condition.
As she stated, she did not know if he had been cleared of charges or if he had been released pending trial.
She also said that the image on social media, for which Marijan had been arrested, had no connection to reality, and that the Kosovo Police had not found any weapons during the search of their home.
"Thanks to all who supported me during yesterday and today," Milica said, adding that it was especially difficult because the children were scared.
Kosovo Special Police officers detained Marijan (34) in Leposavic yesterday, and during the operation, they searched his family home, where he lives with his wife and five children.
The lawyer representing Miletic filed an appeal against the detention order yesterday, and so far, no one from the Court or the Prosecution has contacted or informed him about the case.
