The Serb List: Detention of Virijevic groundless; the aim is to force Serbs to vote
The one-month detention of Nebojsa Virijevic was ordered without grounds and evidence, while the silence of the international community says that the goal of all anti-Serb moves is to force Serbs to participate in the elections, and for special units to stay in the north of Kosovo, the Serb List said tonight.
"Today, in a politically motivated and rigged procedure, the Kosovo court ordered a one-month detention without any basis or evidence to Nebojsa Virijevic, a hardworking and honest householder, father of three children from Leposavic, and based on the report of Kurti's henchman Radoica Radomirovic. Shameful, repeated silence of the international community on political rigged court processes in which honorable Serbs are detained without any evidence clearly tells us that these anti-Serb actions are being carried out with the support of some from the international community," the Serb List said in a statement.
The goal of that support, they are convinced, is the intention to force the Serbs to participate in the elections at any cost, and for the special units to stay in the north and harass our citizens, as well as for all unjustly arrested Serbs to remain in the Pristina casemates.
"We say that the Serbian people have seen through their intentions and reject them with disgust. Elections under threats, blackmail and pressure from anyone will never be accepted by the proud Serbian people and us as political representatives," the Serb List emphasized.
The Serb List will be with Nebojsa and the Virijevic family, as well as all Serbian families that are under attack from Kurti's regime because of their desire to remain on their own and preserve the Serbian name and surname in Kosovo and Metohija, the announcement concludes.
