The Serb List stated that today’s entry of members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into northern Kosovo represents a dangerous and deliberate provocation aimed at destabilizing the situation on the ground and inciting fear and unrest among the Serbian population.

They noted that the entry of KSF members in North Mitrovica, without the approval of the KFOR commander and without the consent of the residents living in northern Kosovo, has caused alarm among the Serb community and raised tensions.

“This move represents a dangerous and deliberate provocation, directed toward destabilizing the situation on the ground and creating fear and unrest among the Serbian people,” the statement said.

The Serb List called on KFOR to increase vigilance and strengthen its presence in all Serb-majority areas in the north in order to prevent new unilateral actions and protect peace and security for all citizens.

“It is clear that the outgoing regime in Pristina is trying, through such actions, to provoke tensions and conflicts in order to divert public attention from its failures and to boost its shaken political standing among voters,” they added.

They warned that such actions are unacceptable and could have serious consequences for the stability of the region.

“We call on the international community, above all KFOR, to act in accordance with its mandate and prevent such incidents from recurring. The arrival of KSF members has caused great concern among citizens, who rightfully expect peace, security, and respect for all agreements that clearly prohibit the presence of these units in the north without KFOR’s approval,” the statement concluded.
