Serb List: The raid on Serbian institutions is Kurti's revenge for his failed attempt to ban us
The Serb List announced that with the raid on the Serbian directorates for public urban space and construction land in Kosovska Mitrovica and the closure of these institutions, Albin Kurti wants to make up for his failure in attempting to ban their participation in the elections.
"After the embarrassment he suffered in his attempt to ban the participation of the Serb List with the illegal decision of his members in the Central Election Commission, Albin Kurti today decided to replace his failure and anger with a raid on the Serbian directorates for public urban space and construction land in Kosovska Mitrovica and the closure of these institutions," the statement says.
The Serb List believes that this escalatory move by Albin Kurti reflects his powerlessness ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 2025, and, unfortunately, it will not be the last, as he has obviously realized that he will lose power in a few weeks.
"In direct communication with our state, a clear stance was taken that today's raid, despite Kurti's clear intention to expel all Serbs, will not threaten the 70 employees in these two directorates, who will continue to receive their personal incomes. However, this will have negative consequences for over 1,000 families who belong to the category of displaced or socially vulnerable persons, whose housing units these directorates have taken care of for years and provided assistance in maintaining their living spaces," the Serb List said.
They expect international representatives to clearly condemn this illegal act and take preventive action to prevent Kurti from jeopardizing the fragile peace in the region for the sake of his political rating, "as it is their duty and obligation."
