A delegation of the Serb List, led by its president Zlatan Elek, met today with the European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo, Riho Terras, in North Mitrovica, where they discussed the situation of the Serbian population in Kosovo during the meeting.

According to the Serb List’s statement, the delegation pointed out the institutional and physical violence continuously carried out by the regime in Pristina across Kosovo, and they demanded a clear condemnation from the international community and concrete actions to prevent the oppression and violation of the human rights of the Serbian people.

"It is particularly concerning that incidents occur daily, ranging from threats to the safety of our citizens by members of the Kosovo Police, who, armed to the teeth with long guns, intimidate our citizens, arrest them without any cause using brutal force, and act like a punitive expedition both in the south and in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, to banning Serbian MPs from attending assembly sessions in Pristina and speaking about the issues facing the Serbian population," the Serb List stated.

They emphasize that they requested the international community to insist on the implementation of signed agreements.

"This is especially important regarding the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities and the protection of the rights of the Serbian people, who wish to live in peace in their ancestral homes," the statement concluded.
