Serb List: We will not participate in extraordinary elections in northern Kosovo municipalities

The Serb List announced today that it would not participate in the extraordinary elections in the municipalities of northern Kosovo, which would be held in April, because, as they stated, the demands that had caused them to leave the Kosovo institutions had not been met.

The Serb List reported that the Central Election Commission had notified their political party that the deadline for parties to participate in the extraordinary elections in the municipalities of northern Kosovo was March 9 to March 18.

They state that, in addition to not participating in those extraordinary elections because the demands that caused them to leave Kosovo's institutions were not met, they will not participate in any elections until their legitimate demands are met.

"This makes it more than clear that Pristina and its Central Election Commission are trying to unilaterally organize elections in the north of Kosovo and Metohija without respecting the legitimate interests of the Serbian people and against the will of the citizens," the Serb List said in a statement.
