Sherifi: Kurti knew about the decision in the Pantic case and still attacked the judge
Bilal Sherifi from the Social Democratic Initiative said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti knew in advance that former Serbian policeman Dejan Pantic's security measure would be changed from detention to house arrest, Lajmi reports.
Sherifi said that Kurti's attempt to blame the prosecutor and the judge was low, noting that there was no possibility that the prime minister had not been informed.
"Yesterday's attempt by Prime Minister Kurti to blame the prosecutor and the judge was a very weak blow below the belt, because there is no possibility that the prime minister of the country is not be informed that the judicial institutions will make such a decision," Sherifi said.
He added that Kurti had known that such a decision would be made for Pantic and that he still attacked the judge in an unprecedented manner.
"I have been in politics for decades, and such decisions are previously discussed and analyzed in the institutions. The audacity not to come out and take responsibility and say 'yes, I took the decision to make this concession because the situation was close to an explosion' speaks volumes about the populist character of Prime Minister Kurti. He knew that such an action would be taken and he attacked the judge who made this decision," Sherifi said.
