Spahiu: Citizens cannot be victims of an administrative misunderstanding or gap
Source: Kosovo Online
Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu says that the announced obligation for citizens without Kosovo documents to register at police stations within three days of entering Kosovo is a standard procedure for any foreigner coming to Kosovo. However, he adds that this measure will also be used as a way to pressure Serbs who still do not have Kosovo ID cards to obtain them, or otherwise be considered foreigners.
He stresses that this issue needs to be resolved legally.
“A citizen cannot be the victim of some administrative misunderstanding or a gap that exists in laws or regulations. All those who are legal representatives of Serbs in Kosovo must raise this issue, Minister Rasic, members of parliament... Why are Serb representatives in Kosovo’s institutions? To resolve such issues,” Spahiu says.
