Spahiu: It is shameful and illegal for the Albanian flag to be in front of Kurti in the Assembly

Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu told Kosovo Online that the presence of the Albanian flag on the bench in front of MP Albin Kurti in the Kosovo Assembly represents an illegal, shameful, and punishable act.

The lack of consequences, he added, is a separate issue.

Spahiju emphasized that no flag other than the Kosovo flag is allowed in the Parliament of Kosovo, except when a guest is present.

"The Albanian flag can be there only in the case when the President of Albania, the Prime Minister, or the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament is speaking in Kosovo’s parliament as a guest. The same goes for the flags of any other country – the US, Italy, Croatia... Only then may the flag of that highly respected guest be displayed," Spahiu said.
