EU Spokesperson Peter Stano announced that a meeting of the main negotiators in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue would take place in Brussels on Tuesday, March 19, with the main topic being the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo regarding the dinar, as well as the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement.

"As we said after the first meeting dedicated to the CBK decision, more discussions are needed," Stano said, adding that EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak invited the chief negotiators to come to Brussels and continue discussions on the Central Bank of Kosovo decision, as well as other important topics.

He assessed that it had been a good discussion where the parties had sent those they deemed most suitable to discuss immediately after the CBK decision.

"The meeting solved certain issues, touched upon certain issues, and left some issues that need to be followed up on. And this is the follow-up, but at this stage with the chief negotiators from both sides," the EU spokesperson emphasized.

He also stated that he would not comment on the remarks of the Kosovo government during this and previous rounds of talks and reminded that the EU had clearly invited both parties and left it up to them to decide who would deal with the problems arising from the lack of coordination and unilateral actions that had created issues in the dialogue.

"But the good thing is that we have started addressing this within the framework of the dialogue, so it will be one of the topics on the agenda next Tuesday. And of course, the overall implementation of the so-called Ohrid Agreement is one of the most pressing issues," Stano concluded.
