Starovic: Kurti keeps escalating the tensions in northern Kosovo with constant harassment of the Serbian people
Nemanja Starovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defense, stated that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is constantly escalating tensions in northern Kosovo, following the recent arrest of a Serbian individual in North Mitrovica.
Commenting on a photograph taken during the arrest, which shows armed Kosovo Special Forces targeting passersby on the street, Starovic emphasized that it represents constant harassment of the Serbian people and questioned whether the "threat" of suspending high-level meetings by the EU, directed at Kurti, is an adequate measure.
"Provisional PM Kurti keeps escalating the tensions in North Kosovo* with constant harassment of local Serbian people. Ordinary people are kept at gunpoint, as seen in this photo taken yesterday. Meanwhile, the EU threatens Kurti with suspension of high-level meetings. Who wouldn't be afraid of such "strong punitive measures"?! Response really worthy of 'Is EU concerned'," Starovic wrote.
