State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense, Nemanja Starovic, praised on the "X" social network the initiative of US Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, who condemned the delivery of "Javelin" missiles to Kosovo, and assessed that this decision represented a serious precedent.

Starovic wrote on the "X" social network that Tenney had made a very wise and thoughtful initiative.

"The delivery of sophisticated weapons to the temporary Prime Minister of Kosovo, Kurti, is setting a dangerous precedent. Not only does it fail to fulfill Kosovo's obligations arising from the Brussels Agreement of 2013, but it is still under EU sanctions for refusing to de-escalate the situation on the ground", Starovic wrote.

He added that arming any other formation in Kosovo besides KFOR could lead to great danger.

"KFOR is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment; arming any other formation in Kosovo leads us to unnecessary militarization, jeopardizing the prospects for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Western Balkans that we all strive for", the state secretary said.

He shared the statement of Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, who condemned the delivery of "Javelin" missiles to Kosovo and called on Congress to adopt a resolution to abandon the sale of weapons.
