State Department: All dialogue commitments must be fully implemented without delay

After calming the situation in northern Kosovo, Washington demands that Kosovo and Serbia return to efforts to create an environment for dialogue and that the reached agreements must be implemented without delay, according to the State Department's response to Gazeta Express.

The US has been insisting on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities establishment in recent months, which has been repeated by Special Envoy Gabriel Escobar on several occasions.

"We welcome the news about the barricades removal in northern Kosovo and the main administrative crossings between Kosovo and Serbia re-opening," the State Department spokesperson said for Express.

As it was pointed out further, "Washington now expects that Kosovo and Serbia will return to efforts to promote the creation of a favorable environment for reconciliation, regional stability, and cooperation for the benefit of all citizens living in Kosovo and Serbia."

The US demands that all agreements reached within the dialogue process be implemented fully and without delay.

"All commitments from the dialogue must be fully implemented, without delay," the State Department spokesperson told Gazeta Express.

It is expected that the main advisers of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron will come to Pristina and Belgrade this month to lead the parties in continuing the dialogue.
