Tahiri: The fact that Kosovo is not on the agenda of the Council of Europe is the biggest failure in the last 20 years
The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Abelard Tahiri, believes that the fact that the Council of Europe did not include Kosovo's membership in the agenda represents the biggest failure of the government in the last 20 years.
He stated on Facebook that this was just one of the major failures of the government in the last 20 years.
"So, what started two years ago as an all-around degradation in Kosovo's foreign policy, is now producing concrete effects. The failure of the government to build stable cohesion and adequate coordination with international partners, so that Kosovo becomes a member of the Council of Europe, is one of the capital failures of the last 20 years. Moreover, in a situation where the biggest opponents of Kosovo are no longer part of this Council, and when there is an atmosphere of unity against the axis of evil throughout Europe, the loss of this chance is unforgivable," Tahiri said.
He adds that due to this anemic state in foreign policy, today the partners, who helped Kosovo to be created, are skeptical, wondering if we have a clear vision of which way we are going.
"Is Kosovo left without a clear direction and without an idea of which way to go; that is now obvious. This is the failure of Minister Gervalla, and above all of President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti," Tahiri said.
