The former chief negotiator of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia, Edita Tahiri, pointed out that Prime Minister Albin Kurti managed to damage the strategic alliance between Kosovo and America.

She wrote on Facebook that this was the first time that Kosovo had an anti-American leader, referring to Kurti.

"America has openly punished today with the measures announced by American Ambassador Hovenier. Since 1992, when we made an alliance with America, when President Bush threatened Milosevic, saying that if the violence in Kosovo escalated, he would face American intervention. This is the first time that Kosovo has an anti-American leader. Our country, known as the most pro-American country in the world, is now suffering the consequences! Kurti crashed into a rock today!" Tahiri wrote.
