Tahiri: Kurti put Kosovo in a deplorable position toward the US
The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Abelard Tahiri, said that this party would send its representative to the meeting organized by the US Embassy tomorrow on the subject of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Koha reports.
Tahiri points out that the PDK is an opposition party, and that the question of the CSM should be addressed to Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
"The situation in which this government has brought Kosovo in relation to the US is deplorable. The opposition is not responsible for the situation – the government led by Kurti is. He must direct the demands," Tahiri said.
Tahiri adds that the Prime Minister was asked to send the agreement on the CSM to the Assembly so that the MPs could overturn it if he was already against it.
"We, as the opposition, are not responsible for directing this issue. In this case, the country's prime minister cannot escape responsibility. He does not have the courage to do anything, this irresponsible man must give a direction," Tahiri said, as reported by Klan Kosova.
Tahiri points out that Kurti brought Kosovo to the point where there is no longer talk of mutual recognition but of a new status quo.
