Tahiri: Rejecting American gas would be a blow to Kosovo-US relations

Alliance official Besnik Tahiri stated that rejecting American gas would represent a serious blow to relations between Kosovo and the United States, Gazeta Blic reported.

“Rejecting American gas would be a serious blow to relations between Kosovo and America and a wrong message to an ally that was crucial to Kosovo’s freedom, statehood and security,” Tahiri said.

He stressed that, in the current geopolitical circumstances, Kosovo has no room for political or energy experiments that could jeopardize its strategic partnership with the United States, Gazeta Blic reported.

“Relations with the United States are a vital state interest, and any decision that could create tensions or distance should be avoided at all costs,” Tahiri said.
