Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Ganimete Musliu addressed Prime Minister Albin Kurti several times during a session of the Kosovo Assembly where the situation with oil prices was discussed, calling him a fraud.

Musliu approached the lectern where Kurti was standing at the time, grabbed his microphone, and said: “Stop selling us fairy tales.”

“Dear citizens, we have grown accustomed to listening to this fraud, but I truly hope that you, too, have clearly noticed his deception. He wants to tell stories, to play with words. He said that funds for mothers should be halted in order to subsidize fuel prices. I offer him a very concrete solution based on the promises this fraud made when he ran for prime minister – you do not have to cut funds for mothers, students, or pensioners; simply reduce the size of the government cabinet and make it consist of 12 ministries, as you promised,” Musliu stated.

She added that Kurti formed a cabinet with 20 ministries, “as if Kosovo were China.”

“In order to come to power, you lied, you deceived us by saying that Kosovo does not need more than 12 ministries,” Musliu said.

During the session, MP Arbnora Salihu also reacted by removing the Albanian flag from the parliamentary lectern.
Salihu approached the prime minister while he was speaking about the economic impact of rising prices and the government’s measures and, as a sign of protest, removed the flag.
