Uglanin: I will not accept the petition for the mayor's dismissal if it is not in accordance with the Administrative Instructions

During today's session, the Chairman of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica, Nexhat Uglanin, stated that he would not accept a petition for the mayor's dismissal if it is not in accordance with the Administrative Instructions.

Uglanin made a series of accusations against the people who submitted the request for the mayor's dismissal, stating that there were many shortcomings on the part of the initiating group, and if it continues that way, he will not accept the petition when it is submitted.

"Their deadline is January 22, and if they do not inform where the petition will be held, this assembly will adopt the location where signatures will be collected, but there are some disagreements. From the very beginning, there have been sabotages, claiming that I did not want to receive them and that I do not cooperate with them. We are ready to listen to all citizens, but they are trying to impose something of their own through the media. I only follow the law," said Uglanin.

He mentioned that he would inform the Ministry of Local Government that he would not accept the petition if the steps are not followed according to the Administrative Instructions.

"I will immediately inform the Ministry of Local Government that if they start collecting the petition in any way they think, the petition will not come to my address in that way and will not be accepted by me. I just want my name not to be abused. I defend the Administrative Instructions that I sent to all media. They do not want to provide an attachment to the request; they only provided an attachment 2, and that was the problem. They had another address, and now they have another address. If they do not want cooperation, I did not seek that cooperation, they sought it. As an assembly, we are obligated to complete tasks in accordance with the Administrative Instructions and the law, but if they think it is their right to collect signatures on the street, in sheds, apartments, or houses, they will not be able to submit those signatures here. Let them submit them where they collected those signatures," said Uglanin.
