Ukaj and Sadiku: Government of Kosovo has not shown results in any department

According to analysts, the Government of Kosovo led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti has not shown results in any department, which is why reform is needed as soon as possible, Ekonomia Online reports.

Political scientist Fidan Ukaj said for Ekonomia Online that in this period, only propaganda was observed against what had been achieved in the past 20 years.

"Actually, if we look at it as a whole, it was more about situation management and cracked propaganda and accusations of abuse and corruption for the last 20 years than the concentration of the prime minister and ministers on the work they got from the voters," Ukaj said.

Ukaj emphasized that healthcare was in a difficult situation, especially due to the mass exodus of doctors.

"Yes, as we have seen, there were many failures of the government, but of course, I would single out health care. I believe that each of us had the opportunity to go to the hospitals and see that there is no change, but let's not forget that we were quite bad in terms of energy, and the situation is still like that considering that in general, all areas did not improve and did not change," Ukaj said.

Political analyst Arbnor Sadiku also agrees with Ukaj, who said there were still ministers who had worked and that this was the case with local self-government and regional development. However, the other ministers, according to him, did not fulfill their goals.

"At the same time, we had unrealized budgets; for example, in the Ministry of Environment and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Enterprise and Trade, the realized budget for two years was very small, say 30 or 40 percent, which is not satisfactory in terms of realization and achievement of goals," Sadiku explained.

Sadiku added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had not worked at all because there had been no recognition or membership in international organizations for two years.

"In practice, as far as capital investments are concerned, these are the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of the Environment, while in terms of foreign policy, I believe that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not had any concrete or measurable results. Kosovo has regressed in terms of new recognitions, membership in international organizations, and all of these are failures, so to speak, in terms of foreign policy," Sadiku said.
