The delegation of the Serb List, in discussions with the ambassadors of the Quint countries and the Deputy Commander of KFOR, emphasized the need for urgent action by international representatives, a return to the previous state, and the prevention of new unilateral moves orchestrated by Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti, which, according to the statement, are driving Serbs out of Kosovo.

"We demanded a greater presence of KFOR forces in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and the protection of the Serbian population, which is under attack by the regime in Pristina. We also called for the engagement of all parties to preserve peace in these areas. We clearly underlined that yesterday's incursion directly endangered the work of thousands of Serbs, as well as the provision of services to tens of thousands of Serbs and other citizens in Kosovo and Metohija," the statement reads.

It is noted that the representatives of the Serbian List reiterated their demand and expectation that the main bridge on the Ibar River will not be opened, as they assessed it to be a sensitive point that could further worsen the fragile security situation.

"We expect responsible behavior from all actors to preserve peace," the statement emphasized.

It is added that in talks with representatives of the Quint countries and KFOR, it was particularly emphasized that the Serbian people are firmly committed to peace and a return to dialogue, in order to resolve all open issues in a democratic and civilized manner, not through the brutal use of force and unilateral actions by the regime in Pristina.

"The Quint representatives reiterated the position expressed in their statement last night, that they did not support yesterday's unilateral action by Kosovo's institutions in any way. They stated that these actions were carried out without coordination with them and that they expect all issues to be resolved through dialogue led by the European Union. They also repeated that due to unilateral actions, Kosovo has been subjected to appropriate measures that are still in effect," the statement concludes.

The delegation of the Serb List, led by President Professor Dr. Zlatan Elek, had a meeting today in Pristina with the ambassadors of the Quint countries, followed by a meeting with KFOR's Deputy Commander General Federico Bernacca at the mission's headquarters, as well as with UNMIK head Caroline Ziadeh.
