The US welcomes Serbia's decision to host joint military exercises
The United States welcomed Serbia's decision to host a military exercise with its global peace partners, the US Embassy in Belgrade told Radio Free Europe.
"We are happy to be part of the Platinum Wolf military exercise," the written statement of the US Embassy added.
The authorities in Serbia made an exception to the moratorium on holding military exercises with foreign partners in order to hold the "Platinum Wolf 23" exercise.
It is an international tactical exercise in which members of the NATO alliance, including the US, participate.
The US embassy's response states that the US values the military partnership with Serbia and highly respects the Serbian army and its leadership.
"We stand for a strong bilateral military and defense partnership with Serbia focused on our common goals of peace and stability in the region and globally," the US Embassy stated.
It is added that working together built bonds of friendship and trust that enabled the two sides to jointly contribute to peace.
