Vucevic: International community should review the scandalous decision of Kurti's judges
The decision to impose 30 days of detention on Igor Popovic, Assistant Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, is the latest in a series of shameful, scandalous, and unlawful decisions by Albin Kurti’s regime, which clearly aims to provoke conflict and continue its campaign against the Serbs, said Milos Vucevic, the Serbian President’s advisor for regional affairs.
The only 'crime' of Igor Popovic in the eyes of Kurti’s regime is that he stood up in defense of innocent Serbian victims in Kosovo and Metohija, for crimes for which no one has ever been held accountable, while the clear goal of the so-called Pristina authorities is for those victims to be forgotten. Kurti’s goal for years has been to suppress the truth, to silence or imprison anyone who speaks about it, so the truth is not heard about the criminal KLA, about the 47 murdered Serbs and Roma, and over a hundred kidnapped in July 1998,” Vucevic stated in a post on Instagram.
The Serbian Progressive Party leader added that these are wounds on the soul of the Serbian people that will never heal.
“These are crimes that do not expire, and crimes for which we will seek justice for as long as we exist! We will not allow Kurti’s regime to kill the truth, to persecute, intimidate, and expel our people from their ancestral homes, and we will never give up the fight for the rights of our people and for preserving peace and stability. We demand that the international community urgently review the unlawful and scandalous decision of Kurti’s judges and that Igor Popovic be released,” Vucevic concluded.
