Serbian Minister of Defense, Milos Vucevic, stated that Serbia was not surprised that Pristina was purchasing American missiles but had openly expressed dissatisfaction, as reported by Kurir.
"The United States has been a long-time ally of Pristina, so this action does not surprise us, but it is logical that we are disappointed, and we openly express our dissatisfaction," Vucevic said to Kurir.
However, as he added, Serbia cannot change the policy of the United States.
"It is up to us to strengthen our defense capabilities, and we will certainly continue to do so in the coming period, as we have been doing for years. We will have an adequate response," Vucevic stated.
The U.S. State Department approved the potential sale of 246 "Javelin" missiles to Kosovo for an estimated value of $75 million.
