Vucic with Admiral Munsch: The already difficult situation of the Serbian community in Kosovo has drastically worsened
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met with Admiral Stuart Munsch, Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, and expressed concern about the drastic worsening of the already difficult situation of the Serbian community in Kosovo.
Vucic reiterated Serbia's expectation for KFOR to maintain a status-neutral position based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and proactively act to prevent any security disruptions on the ground.
The President of Serbia stated on his Instagram profile, "buducnostsrbijeav," that he had held a "good and open conversation" with Admiral Munsch, during which they had exchanged views on the current security situation in the Western Balkans and the Middle East.
"I expressed serious concern about the drastic worsening of the already difficult situation of the Serbian community in Kosovo and reiterated that Serbia supports KFOR's engagement in strictly, fully, and impartially implementing its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, as well as that we expect KFOR to maintain a status-neutral position and to proactively act to prevent any security disruptions on the ground," the president stated.
