Vucic and Landau: Preserving Peace and Stability Is a Key Imperative for the Development of the Western Balkans
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, held a telephone conversation with the United States Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, emphasizing that the preservation of peace and stability remains one of the fundamental imperatives for the continued development and progress of the Western Balkans region, as well as the broader international environment.
“An excellent and important discussion with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State on bilateral cooperation, energy, regional stability, and current geopolitical developments. Serbia attaches particular importance to the advancement of its strategic partnership and overall relations with the United States, which we consider one of our key foreign policy partners. We discussed strengthening energy security and ensuring the stability of supply, as well as challenges in the energy sector, including the functioning of the Oil Industry of Serbia, with the aim of preserving market security and predictability,” Vucic wrote on Instagram.
He added that, in the context of regional and global developments, he underscored that maintaining peace and stability is an essential prerequisite for further development and progress in the Western Balkans and beyond.
“The intensification of bilateral dialogue on all outstanding issues is of crucial importance for strengthening trust and stability in our relations. I am confident that Serbia and the United States will continue to develop their strategic partnership through open and continuous political dialogue,” Vucic stated.
